  • President of the Southern Chapter of the American Musicological Society (2018–2020); held various other offices in the same organization since 2012.
  • Local Arrangements Co-Chair for the national meeting of the Society for American Music in New Orleans (2019).
  • Reviews Editor for the journal American Music (2014–16).
  • Various service roles at LSU, including two three-year terms as Faculty Senator from the College of Music and Dramatic Arts.
  • Member of the Board of Directors (2015–17) for the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation, a non-profit organization responsible for the annual Baton Rouge Blues Festival and dedicating to supporting the city’s blues heritage.
